GUITAR
Group Lessons

Play songs, make music together, and understand music from the inside.

Beginner-friendly · Small groups · Real music from day one

Why Learn Guitar in a Group?

Learning guitar doesn’t have to be a lonely experience. In a group, music becomes social, motivating, and alive.

Group guitar lessons allow you to:

  • play music with others from the very beginning

  • feel rhythm, harmony, and groove in a real musical context

  • stay motivated through shared energy and progress

Instead of practising alone for months, you learn guitar as it’s meant to be experienced: together.

Who is it For?

Our group guitar lessons are designed for adults of all ages, especially:

🎸 Complete Beginners

You’ve never played guitar before and want a friendly, guided way to start, without pressure or expectations.

🎶 Song Lovers

You want to play real songs, learn chords, and accompany singing across different musical styles.

👥 After-Work Creatives

You’re looking for a fun, social, and creative activity to unwind and make music with others.

🌱 Curious Musicians

You want to understand music more deeply, explore rhythm and harmony, and experiment beyond just “playing shapes.”

No prior musical knowledge is required. Curiosity and the desire to play music are enough.

Playing Together Like a Band

One of the key elements of our group guitar lessons is collective playing.

Rather than everyone doing the same thing at the same time, students:

  • take on different musical roles

  • learn how parts fit together

  • listen, respond, and adapt to each other

This makes learning more engaging, more musical, and much more fun.

What Happens in a  Lesson?

🎵 Warm-Up & Coordination

We start by warming up the body and hands, developing coordination and rhythm to feel comfortable with the instrument.

🎸 Chords, Rhythm & Technique

You learn essential guitar techniques, chords, and strumming patterns, always in a musical, practical way.

👂 Listening & Musical Awareness

We develop your ear by listening, repeating, and recognising patterns, helping you understand music, memorise more easily, and learn faster.

🎶 Songs, Styles & Exploration

We explore music across styles: rock, pop, soul, funk, jazz and learn through real songs rather than isolated exercises.

🎼 Understanding Music

You gradually discover how rhythm, harmony, and structure work together, building a deeper understanding of music as a whole

💬 Personal Feedback

Even in a group setting, each student receives individual guidance and feedback to support their own progress.

“From the first lesson, music is something you share.”

A Creative Relationship With Music

Learning guitar here is not about collecting techniques or reproducing songs exactly as they are. It’s about developing a personal relationship with music.

Over time, students learn to use the guitar as a tool for exploration: to play, transform, invent, and respond.

Music becomes something you can shape: simplifying it, colouring it, changing its mood, or creating something entirely new. Improvisation and creativity are not added later, they’re part of how understanding naturally grows.

Rather than asking “am I playing this right?”, the focus shifts toward listening, feeling, and expressing.

The guitar becomes a way to connect with music more intuitively, to think musically, and to communicate ideas and emotions through sound.

This is where learning stops feeling like practice and starts feeling like expression.

Acoustic, Electric, Bass & Exploration

Students are welcome to explore:

  • acoustic and electric guitar

  • different sounds and roles

  • occasional bass parts when relevant

The instrument is a tool, the real focus is musical expression and enjoyment.

A Group Setting That Stays Personal

Groups are intentionally small, up to four students maximum.

This allows enough time for:

  • individual guidance and feedback

  • adapting exercises to different learning speeds

  • making sure everyone feels supported and involved

F.A.Q

Do I need a Guitar?

We don't expect you to have a guitar for your first discovery class or any other introductory short programme. Once you join our 3-month term, we will help you find the right guitar.

How much do I need to practise?

While you will experience better results if you practise regularly, we don’t expect you to come always prepared at every lesson. Practicing 10 to 30min per day is ideal for getting the best out of our courses.   If you never practise between the lessons, you might not be able to recall every single pieces and exercises but you will still make a modest progress because our method don’t rely only on your muscle memory.

What kind of music will be learned?

Our main programme don’t focus on a specific genre while our methods are influenced by elements of pop, jazz, rock and classical music. Music is not meant to be divided into boxes. Although every genres have their own characteristics, they are only dialects of the same language that is music. They all share the same roots and comply with the same rules.

Will I get personalised feedback?

Our small classes of a maximum of 4 students are assembled with participants who have a similar musical background and pace of learning. While students still have different strengths and weaknesses, the lessons are led and structured to give a personalised experience to each student to help them resolve their difficulties.

What level is required?

Our methods are designed around concepts that you might not have heard of in traditional lessons. Whether you are a beginner or you had several years of lessons based on reading music sheets, anyone is welcome to join a 4-week introduction programme. You can join a “complete beginner” class or a “coming back” class if you had some experience with playing the guitar.

I am not sure if this is for me

If you have been playing the guitar for many years and you are not sure whether those classes would fit to your skills and ambition, feel free to share with us your musical background and goals to info@thousandseasonsstudio.co.uk We’ll come back to you as soon as possible and advise you on what would work best for you.
