Who this workshop is for?
This workshop is ideal if:
-
You’ve never written a song before
-
You’ve written songs but never had professional guidance
-
You sing, play an instrument, or don’t play at all
-
You’re curious but don’t know where to start
Curiosity matters more than experience.
What you'll learn?
During the workshop, you’ll explore both songwriting and music creation, including:
-
How songs create movement, contrast, and flow
-
How lyrics, melody, rhythm, and sound influence each other
-
Different ways songs can begin:
-
from words or melody
-
from rhythm, sound, or musical ideas
-
-
How simple musical ideas can be built into a song
-
How producers use sounds and loops to shape a track
-
Why songwriting and production often develop together
These ideas are introduced in a beginner-friendly, non-technical way and are applied immediately during the workshop.
No prior knowledge of music production or software is required.

How the workshop works?
1. Guided introduction
We begin together as a group with a clear, accessible introduction to songwriting and music creation.
You’ll be introduced to simple but powerful creative ideas and concepts used by songwriters and producers, explained without technical language.
2. Create in small groups
The participants will be split into 2 groups of 4, each starting from a different creative angle:
-
One group begins with music and sound: exploring rhythm, musical ideas, and how producers build the foundation of a song using instruments and sound loops.
-
One group begins with lyrics and melody: exploring words, vocal ideas, and emotional direction.
Later, groups switch so everyone experiences both approaches and sees how music and lyrics shape each other.
3. Sharing & reflection
At the end of the workshop, we come back together to share what was created, reflect on the process, and record the songs as a memory of the experience.
For participants who feel inspired to take the experience further, a recording-session version of this workshop is also available.
